Arte y EspanĢƒol takes place on the first Saturday of each month (except for April) from November 2024 - June 2025 and features storytimes spoken entirely in Spanish to promote language literacy and exposure to the arts.  
This FREE one-hour program is held at the Allentown Art Museum and is intended for children ages 2-10 and their caregivers.
Each month facilitators from the Spanish Immersion Learning Center lead families through a three-part journey: 

1. Storytime in the museumā€™s galleries

November 2 - 1-2 pm
Theme: Animals

Project: Model Magic Animal Sculpture
Learn about animals and nature during a fun interactive book reading, then create your own textural animal sculpture with air-dry clay.

Project: City Color Transparency Collage

Explore and learn about what you can see in cities. Then, create a landscape collage with layers of transparent materials inspired by the photography of Abelardo Morell.

Explore how paint is mixed to make beautiful colors, see amazing prints in the gallery, and then make your own monoprint.

Help Color Monster understand his emotions, explore feelings and emotions in artwork, and then make your own watercolor monster.
