PBS39 Rings in the New Year at PEEPSFEST®

More than two thousand people stopped by the PBS39 studios for free family fun.
Bethlehem, PA - January 2, 2019 - PBS39, in partnership with Just Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest, participated in the 10th annual PEEPSFEST® on both December 30 and 31, 2018. The SteelStacks campus was full of activity with games, music and lots of PEEPS®!

“PBS39 was proud to be a part of PEEPSFEST® once again,” Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. “We were happy to open our doors and host hundreds of families at our PBS39 studios. It was a wonderful excellent opportunity to bring our community together and celebrate the new year.”

More than two thousand people stopped by the PPL Public Media Center at PBS39 over the course of the two-day festival. Clifford the Big Red Dog and PBS39’s TeleBear were on hand to celebrate with fans of all ages.

The annual PEEPS® Scholastic Diorama Competition, featuring more than 120 entries from local students, was also on display inside the station. Attendees voted for their favorite PEEPS®-themed displays.

On Sunday, December 30, the station also debuted PEEPS® in the Kitchen cooking demonstrations. During these three live sessions, ArtsQuest Executive Chef Barry Sullivan showed the audience creative ways to add Just Born PEEPS® to recipes for a sweet kick.

The family-friendly new year's celebration concluded with a PEEPS® chick drop and an impressive fireworks display. PBS39 broadcast the event live during a special edition of PBS39 News Tonight.
