Lehigh Valley Public Media Announces 2024 Good Neighbor Award Honorees
Award recipients to be honored at the Good Neighbor Awards Gala taking place on May 22, 2024
Bethlehem, PA; November 7, 2023 – Lehigh Valley Public Media (LVPM), home of PBS39, 91.3 WLVR, and LehighValleyNews.com, announced today the recipients of its 8th Annual Good Neighbor Awards taking place on Wednesday, May 22. This year’s honorees are Philip C. Jackson, founder of Jackson Financial Strategies, Trexler Trustee Jamie P. Musselman, and LVPM on-air host and producer Grover Silcox. The Event Committee will be hosted by Christine Martin, President of PPL Electric Utilities.
Given in the spirit of Fred Rogers, the awards are given out annually to those individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our community.
“The Lehigh Valley Public Media board, staff, and volunteers are thrilled to recognize individuals who are dedicated to the success and advancement of the Greater Lehigh Valley,” said Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer, Lehigh Valley Public Media.
The 2024 Good Neighbor Awards will be held the evening of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott. Contributions raised from the event support the Good Neighbor Fund, a fund established to support the organization’s education outreach programs.

2024 Good Neighbor Award Recipients
Philip C. Jackson, founder of Jackson Financial Strategies, has dedicated his time, knowledge, and resources to improving the lives of young people for decades. The former Executive Vice President at Univest Financial Corporation serves as Board Chair for Valley Youth House and has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of America, Boys and Girls Club of Allentown, and the Allentown Symphony Orchestra.
Jamie P. Musselman was appointed as one of five Trustees of the revered Harry C. Trexler Trust 13 years ago. She has been committed to the community through her professional and volunteer work for most of her life. Ms. Musselman became President of Musselman Advertising, Inc. in 1978 and grew the family business from $2 million in sales to $48 million. She has served on the Board of Directors of Lafayette Ambassador Bank, Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, Lehigh Valley Partnership, Allentown Economic Development Corporation, and Muskifest. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lehigh Valley Public Media and the Board of Trustees of the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley.
Grover Silcox joined Lehigh Valley Public Media in various on-air and production roles in 2006. He is the host for Lehigh Valley Rising, PBS39's Emmy Award-winning program focusing on business, industry, and entrepreneurs in the Lehigh Valley and a producer-reporter for Living in The Lehigh Valley, the station's health and wellness program. In addition to his work at LVPM, Silcox spent forty years as a standup comic, actor, and public speaker. He also performs his original one-man, stage show called, Edgar Allen Poe & The Flip Side of Comedy at theaters and venues throughout the region.
