HANOVER TWP., Pa. (WLVT) - Stuffed Puffs, a company housed inside Bethlehem’s Factory LLC, celebrated the grand opening of a new manufacturing plant, and DJ Marshmello made a special appearance for the celebration.

“That is delicious!” said nine-year old Evan Bartoletti in reference to Stuffed Puffs. The treat is a marshmallow filled with chocolate, and now they’re going to fill 134 jobs in the Lehigh Valley with their new Hanover Township plant.

The official DJ Marshmello was at the grand opening as well, because he is now a partner with Stuffed Puffs. Founder and CEO of Stuffed Puffs, Mike Tierney, said he met DJ Marshmello and his manager, Moe Shalizi, at a Forbes 30 Under 30 conference. “I pitched them the idea and they loved the concept,” said Tierney.

“One of the most innovative treats since Peeps or Snickers,” said Bartoletti. The Fairfax, Va. native is also a DJ, so he was more than excited to meet Marshmello, take a photo with him, and have his headphones autographed. “Words can’t even explain it!” said Bartoletti. “That felt so amazing to meet him and take a picture with him. I’ll remember this moment forever, and maybe if I become a DJ someday, I’ll always think back to this moment.”

Tierney said over the next several years, the plant will become the new home for Stuffed Puffs. “This is only phase one so we’ll have the ability to do four phases here which would be up to $400 million worth of saleable product,” said Tierney. “That’s a lot more jobs than the first 130 we’re creating.”

Tierney said the plant is expected to be up and running by July 4th, 2020. “I’m excited to eat those things more and more in the future,” said Bartoletti.
