BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. (WLVT) - St. Luke's University Health Network cut the ribbon on its new Women & Babies Pavilion at the hospital's Anderson campus in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County.
The $75 million expansion doubles the size of the existing hospital. The new building covers 180,000 square feet over four floors and includes nine labor and delivery rooms. It also contains a a Level III neonatal intensive care unit with eight private rooms, 18 semi-private rooms, a 32-room postpartum unit and a 16-bassinet nursery.
The first delivery is set for Friday, Jan. 17.
"Having very convenient locations is really a nice thing for our community," said Ed Nawrocki, president of St. Luke's Anderson.
