BETHLEHEM, Pa. (WLVT) - New Bethany Ministries celebrated the grand opening of a new center to offer more resources to the community.
"When New Bethany called me, I was elated," said New Bethany volunteer, Darlene Hermony. "It was an answered prayer." Hermony said New Bethany helped her find housing, and she is thankful for the organization.
The Diane Elliott Center for Community Partnerships is named after former executive director, Diane Elliott. "Being in south Bethlehem, having the center right here in the middle of a low-income medium, the resources are directly in their own community," said Manager of Community Partnerships, Pamela Lewis.
The center has new computers, which can be used to work on resumes or search for affordable housing. "Not everybody has WiFi," said Lewis. "So with having the computers here and having a workstation, they’ll be able to take care of some of their personal and professional business.”
The center is now open. If you need any assistance from New Bethany Ministries, contact the office at 610.691.5602.
