Lehigh Valley Auto Show Hosts Its Biggest Event, 300 Cars

Comments
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (WLVT) - The Lehigh Valley Auto Show is celebrating 22 years by paying homage to the valley’s own Route 22.

We’ve been coming here for 14 years,” said Linda Moore, with her husband Ted Moore. “The people here are genuinely friendly, and we love that about coming here.”

With 150,000-square feet and 300 cars, this year is the biggest show for the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association.

Tom Kwiatek with the association said they are trying to promote road safety while people have fun looking at new cars. There is a distracted driving simulator this year to help with that. “The point of it is, we want people, especially young people, to understand how dangerous it is for distracted driving,” said Kwiatek. “They shouldn’t text while they’re driving.”

He also said they are working with local school bus drivers to help keep students safe when they are getting on and off the bus by stopping when the lights are flashing. “We have volunteers with the school bus on site on Saturday and Sunday talking about this and asking drivers to pledge that they will stop for our children.”

Linda and Ted Moore said this year, they came to the show to look for their dream car. “Mine’s a Lexus 350,” said Linda. “Mine’s a cadillac. I have one, but I want a newer one,” said Ted.

The auto show is at the Stabler Arena on Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus. Below is a list of details for the show.
