ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WLVT) - When Luke proposed to Bronte in October, they didn't think the bridal shower would be held on a sidewalk.
"It's incredible, it's more than I could have expected. I guess everybody's had to get pretty creative during this time with social distancing and being mindful. So, finding a happy medium I think takes a lot of creativity, so I'm really grateful," said bride-to-be Bronte Grigoruk.
The pandemic has been tough on a lot of businesses, but the Civic Theatre on 19th Street in Allentown is thinking positive, according to new Managing Director Diane Donaher.
Saturday's walk-by bridal shower under the marquee was just a start.
"We get to start our creative juices; we can do birthday parties -- things for friends to get together with small groups and families. It's really a special way to show your love of theater and we have a passionate audience of theater and film people."
The plan is for the theater to reopen to an audience once it's able, but to continue hosting other events until then.
