A look at Lehigh's new College of Health, which opened in a pandemic.
BETHLEHEM, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY (WLVR) - For the first time in 50 years, Lehigh University is opening a new college. Dr. Whtiney Witt is the inaugural dean for the Bethlehem university’s College of Health. She says there are about 60 students currently enrolled this first semester with an additional 20 earning a certificate at the school. Witt says "we are the first university in the world actually to offer undergraduate, graduate and executive programs in Population Health Science with a focus on health, innovation and technology., so we are really planting our flag in the sand.”
Construction on the Health, Science and Technology building is underway off Webster Street in south Bethlehem and will open in fall 2021. Right now, most classes are being offered virtually.
