Advocate Weighs in on How Long-Term Care Providers are Faring at this Stage of the Pandemic

WLVT - TV - As COVID-19 cases in the commonwealth rise to record-setting levels, experts say it's only a matter of time until long-term care facilities see outbreaks again.

Over the summer, Pennsylvania used $175 million in CARES Act funding to create the Regional Response Health Collaborative Program (RRHCP) to help provide “clinical, operational, and educational support to long-term care facilities preparing for or facing outbreaks of COVID-19.”

But Zach Shamberg, the president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, says his organization found the assistance offered by RRHCPs actually varies region to region.
