Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres opened for the season this past weekend despite the fact that many haunted attractions in the area decided not to due to the pandemic. But the staff here wants to assure guests, while you may come here for a scare, you don't have to fear possible exposure to Covid-19. Designer Allen Doak says some changes were made to cater to Covid-19 restrctions.
“The safest thing during these times is to be outside and to have a mask on, and with 200 acres we are able to spread out. We have bonfires, picnic tables all spaced apart, and our attractions are primarily outside and the indoor spaces are well ventilated, and we have no one in an enclosed area," said Doak.
There is no hayride this year and no one goes in the haunted house.
